CandyLand Review: Scam or Safe?

CandyLand Review: Scam or Safe?

CandyLand is quickly and easily described in two words – an utter disappointment. First thing to know about this gaming house is that it is anonymous and unlicensed – the worst combination ever. Then, the games are too few provided by only one gaming studio – Rival, so even the lack of a license is not a problem for you, we can guarantee that the gaming experience in CandyLand is simply not up to the standards. The deposit and withdrawal conditions are also unfair. We advise you to read this review if you consider depositing and wagering in CandyLand. There are many things to know about it, most of which are negative, unfortunately.

The bonus promotions offered by CandyLand look appealing, but don't get fooled. They promise 400% for their welcoming offer, but the rest of it is subject to contradictions only. For one thing, literally no requirements were specified, so players won't know how many times the bonus should be wagered, and would be the actual cash out limit. The latter is said to be 10 times for deposits lower than €249, but it was never revealed what's the ratio for higher ones.

Another critical details missing is the max cash amount a player can claim. Indeed, the only thing known for most of the bonuses is the percentage, and it's even concealed what's the minimum deposit required. It took us some time digging into the TCs to find out, so the way CandyLand advertises its bonuses is more than displeasing. Anyhow, let's see some details, if there are any.

Welcome Bonus – the promo for new players. The size of the bonus, however, is not accurately revealed and is subject to contradictions. The problem is that one banner stated a 400% bonus, while another one promoted 200%. We don't know what will be the actual percentage, but CandyLand is worth being avoided – good casinos do not allow such blunders. Maximum cash bonus and withdrawal limits are either not specified, or subject to inaccurate and untrustworthy information. The minimum deposit to activate the promo should be €25 or equivalent.

Cashback – this one is also promoted as a welcoming offer. CandyLand states that 100% cash back is available, but we are sceptical about it. Answer yourself a simple question: which casino would give all the money back to players? That's what 100% actually means. Anyhow, a noteworthy fact is that absolutely no requirements and conditions are designated.

Raffle Tickets – another shady bonus with very little to know about it. The only thing revealed is that players should buy raffle tickets for €25, and that's all. What happens afterwards is a mystery.

Cashtravaganza – 80% bonus on a deposit, with nothing further specified. When and why players can claim this bonus is simply unknown. A total disappointment! CandyLand definitely looks like a scam casino. We don't say that it is, but the behaviour and approach do not speak good about CandyLand.

License

CandyLand states that it is licensed in Curacao, but fails to give any proof of it. Indeed, after a diligent research and multiple checks, we can confirm that CandyLand is an unlicensed and practically anonymous casino. Hence, they lie about their license, which further confirms it's a shady house that's not to be trusted.

Unlicensed casinos are not supervised and effectively controlled. They may offer rigged slots, unfair games by shady providers and can carry out other activities potentially harming players' gaming experience. In contrast, licensed casinos need to comply with certain conditions that are set to ensure safety and fairness. The slots they offered are tested, validated and RTP-certified. The outcomes of each games is entirely RNG (Random Number Generator) dependant, so the outcomes cannot be subject to fraud, if you are playing in a licensed casino. CandyLand is not licensed, so the games offered in this casino cannot be guaranteed safe. While some games are offered by trustworthy gaming studios and considered safe and fair, other games are not. We don't mean to say that CandyLand wants to harm customers, but if it were to be labeled reliable, they should have gotten a license.

Another potential problem may arise when it comes to withdrawals. As mentioned, unlicensed casinos are not supervised and controlled, so if CandyLand refuses to process withdrawal requests, impose additional unfair requirements or simply does not send the money, players will have no one to complain about. Yet again, we don't want to say that such a problem may arise, but if it does, players will be left without protection.

So, with those things considered, CandyLand is not a casino we deem safe and reliable. If you are looking for a gaming house, go for casinos authorised in Curacao, Malta or UK – those three countries are gaming hubs where the majority of casinos are licensed. Out of the three, the largest amount of casinos are based in Curacao, so let us tell about the regulatory framework there, in one paragraph.

The online casinos licensed in Curacao are not authorised and regulated by the local gaming authorities directly. Instead, four independent companies do so on behalf of the gaming authorities – Antillephone, Gaming Curacao, E-Gaming, and CIL. Each one has the power to authorise casino and oversee if they are following all the rules and regulations imposed by the local government. Some say that the supervision is not so strong due to the setup, but certain benefits are there, as well. The quicker and cheaper licensing gives more freedom to casinos, and on top of that, the process is usually more efficient when handled by private companies. Plus, having four licensing companies instead of just one means they can keep a closer watch on more casinos in a more efficient way. So, if you’re looking for a casino with extra bonuses and possibly a bigger choice of slot games, you might want to pick one licensed in Curacao.

Candyland doesn't explicitly enlists excluded countries, which once again shows that it doesn't operate according to the international standards. Nonetheless, it's advisable to stay away from the following ones.

Restricted countries: American Samoa, Guam, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.

The deposit conditions are not good. Only three methods are said to be accepted, but that's not an information we could verify since our registration was left pending for hours. Anyhow, the minimum deposit is allegedly €25 or equivalent, while the maximum is not specified for any method.

The worst of all, however, is that each deposit is charged from 3.5% to 6.5% (the maximum is allegedly €40). Unacceptable! CandyLand is not a good casino.

Withdrawal methodMinimumMaximumProcessing timeFee
Bank€100Unspecifiedup to 18 days€40
Crypto€100Unspecifiedup to 18 days€40

The same story goes for withdrawals – too few methods. The minimum is very high – at €100, so the conditions are outright proven to be unfair. The maximum amount per deposit transaction is unspecified.

As for the processing time, we can hardly find words to describe it – up to 18 days! Unacceptable!

One standard condition, however, is the rollover requirement of 1 time. Simply put, players should wager their deposits once before a withdrawal. Failure to do so will result in a rejected requests.

And here comes the worst! According to TCs, an account becomes inactive after only 90 days no log in – too short of a period. When this happens, the casino reserves the right to confiscate all funds – another unacceptable condition! CandyLand is a bad casino you should avoid!

Games and Game Suppliers

Game providers: Rival

When it comes to games, CandyLand disappoints again. We could see only one gaming studio – Rival, which provides a little bit more than 100 games. The number is totally insufficient, so you cannot expect a satisfying gaming experience.

Anyhow, see some slots: Battle Of Rome, Viking Treasures, Galaxy Stars, Super Wilds, 10Times Vegas, Sea Treasures, Golden Children, Jingle Bell Jackpots, Panda Pursuit, Crazy Christmas, Zeus Rising, Sands of Space, Irish Wishes, Yeti Hunt, Dead Beats, Win Another Day, Viking Victory etc.

There is Live Casino, as well, but it features only 1 game! And to make things worse, CandyLand hasn't even provided its name. This casino is a joke!

Conclusion

Let us summarise CandyLand for you. First of all, the casino is anonymous and unlicensed, which is never a good precondition. Then, we shall also mention that the TCs are stuffed with contradictions, conflicting pieces of information, and malicious clauses – according to one such, the casino will confiscate all funds if your account become inactive. In contrast, Good casinos are transparent enough and are duly licensed so that customers are rest assured the gaming experience will be safe and satisfying. CandyLand is not to be trusted.

Secondly, CandyLand's bonuses are filled with controversies, missing information and practically lack trustworthiness – one doesn't know what to expect from this casino. Once you claim the bonus, you may end up with highly unfavourable wagering requirements or other adverse conditions. Think twice before depositing with CandyLand.

Thirdly, the deposit/withdrawal conditions are totally unfair – CandyLand charges even deposit transactions; a totally unacceptable approach. In comparison, good casinos charge neither deposits, nor withdrawals.

Lastly, the gaming experience is awful – 1 provider, very few slots and only 1 Live Casino game. That being the case, we simply do not see a reason why players should open accounts with CandyLand and wager there. The casino is not good! Find a better house instead, and remember one crucial rule. Play responsibly!
