Lolly Bet Review: Scam or safe?

Lolly Bet Review: Scam or safe?

Lolly Bet is an online casino and sportsbook which has launched quite recently. However, it does not really have much going for it besides that. In fact, we would actually struggle to find a reason why anyone would really want to play here.

Sure enough, the house is licensed, which does mean it takes safety seriously. But so are the vast majority of casinos. And, what's more, we found Lolly Bet to be lacking in pretty much any other area of its services. Its bonuses are especially unappealing, because there are so few of them. Players can only get two Welcome bonuses, and then that's it!

What's more, the games you can play are sourced from no more than nine suppliers in total. This means that there are definitely not enough casino games to bet on. We should also say that the payment conditions of the casino definitely needed a lot more work before its launch! That is because it accepts only credit cards and crypto, and because withdrawing from Lolly Bet takes way longer than what we consider to be acceptable.

If you are curious about what else the casino has in store for you, check out our full review of it, to learn everything you need to know about these issues and more:

Bonuses

The list of promotions available with Lolly Bet is incredibly short, just as we mentioned. Normally, we expect to see a casino offer not only Welcome bonuses, but also Recurring ones, too. These latter offerings are usually made available to players regularly, and incentivize them to deposit further. However, this is not the case here. Let's take a look at the different initial deposit promotions:

BonusMin depositMax bonusWagering requirementsCash out limit
Casino Welcome BonusUnspecified100% up to $25040xUnspecified
Casino Second Deposit BonusUnspecified200%40xUnspecified
Sport Welcome BonusUnspecified200% up to $300UnspecifiedUnspecified
Welcome Freebet$100100% up to $250UnspecifiedUnspecified

Another issue we have with this bonus policy has to do with the fact that the bonuses themselves are pretty poorly explained. There is no mention of how much you need to cash in to obtain most of them. Usually, that would be around $20, as that is the asking price for the majority of casinos nowadays. However, it is also possible that a higher amount has been set by this one – it is really up to anyone's guess! There is no mention of how much you can win from the bonuses either – their cash out limit is not elaborated upon.

Still, we have to admit that we like the fact that the player can chose between three different kinds of Welcome Bonus – one for Sports betting, one which grants them two Freebet vouchers and a Casino Welcome Bonus. We would like to examine these promotions, starting with the last one:

  • The Lolly Bet Casino Welcome Bonus allows the player to get a pretty significant amount of cash. It is actually spread over two bonuses, which can be claimed with the First and Second deposit you perform. The bonuses grant you 100% and 200% of whatever you cash in as extra money. The maximum for the First deposit bonus is $250, and the Second Deposit Bonus does not specify that sum. We are not really happy with not knowing how much you can claim, but if the initial deposit promotion is indicative of that, the sum is decently big. On to the wagering requirements of the promotions, they are set to 40x for each of the bonus. If you are wondering what that means, the majority of casinos' promotions these days need to be wagering a certain amount of times before they become withdrawable. This amount differs, but it is usually set to between 30x and 40x for the type of bonus we are covering here. Thus, we can say that Lolly Bet is decently competitive.
  • Next, there is the Sports Welcome Bonus. This promotion is an alternative to the two previous bonuses – and you can get a Sports Welcome Bonus only on your first deposit. Once again, we have no clue what the minimum you need to cash in is. The bonus adds 200% of whatever you deposit up to a maximum of $300, though, so it is pretty generous. Another issue with it arises from the lack of any mention of a wagering requirement. Unlike casino bonuses, the promotions tied to sports betting usually need to be wagered up to 10x. However, there is also usually a clause which stipulates that only bets over a certain size count towards that. Sadly, since Lolly Bet does not clarify how it expects players to cash these funds out, we cannot really say how easy or difficult doing so might be. Of course, we expect a lot more transparency in general.
  • Finally, there are two Welcome Freebet vouchers, which you can claim in sequence. If you are wondering what these vouchers are and what they do, they are pretty much a way to bet without worrying about losing any money. Normally, when betting with a bonus, if you lose the wager, the casino will satisfy the bet from your account balance first and then the bonus. With Freebets, it is the other way around. If you lose any wager with one of the vouchers, the bonus money will be deducted instead. That said, the two vouchers seem to have a very steep set of minimum deposit requirements. The First demands you cash in $100, and the Second: $250. They give you 100% of each of these deposits as bonuses, with maximums of $100 and $250, respectively. That might seem worthwhile, but we have no information about the wagering requirement. Additionally, there might be rules about how much of the voucher you can use at once. Some casinos require you to bet the entire sum of money you have got on a single match, while others are more permissive. At the same time, Lolly Bet is pretty vague about its bonus conditions, like it generally is!

The Bonuses offered by the casino are definitely not up to par with the rest of houses nowadays. There are no Free Spins, no Birthday Bonuses, nothing exciting to make you want to stick around with Lolly Bet once you are done with the initial deposit offerings. We should mention there is a poorly-defined Loyalty Program which lets you rack up Points and climb several account ranks with the house. However, the perks for that are not clear. There is also an in-house Bonus Store where you can buy bundles of Bonus money with the same Points. At the time of writing, there are just two of these bundles available – one of $50 and one of $100, but the conditions around cashing them out are not clear, so we cannot say how worthwhile pursuing these promotions is.

License

One of the only redeemable qualites of this casino is the fact it has an excellent license. Here is what it has to say about its regulatory status:

It claims to be under the oversight of the Antillephone. This is one of the four regulatory bodies in the small Caribbean country Curacao, which has become the go-to place for casinos to get licensed in! But before we mention why that is, we would like to actually show you the license of Lolly Bet, as proof that it is telling the truth about its regulation. Said license can be found by clicking the orange logo, visible to the top left corner of the previous screenshot. This logo is the Digital Seal of the Antillephone, which then redirects the viewer to the register of the regulator. Here is the entry for Lolly Bet and its parent company LBNG Limited B.V.:

So, there can be no doubt that the house is licensed. This is great, because Curacao-based casinos can provide the player with a series of crucial protections, for them and for their funds alike. Additionally, the houses are not overly restricted by the regulatory bodies, which enables them to offer bigger and more fun bonuses, exciting games and so on. However, the main benefit to the player has to be the protections we mentioned. These can make playing extra safe, and extra fun! In general, we recommend you stick to licensed houses so that you can be certain you can benefit from the following:

  • Whenever you sign up with a casino, cash in or withdraw for the first time, you might be asked to complete some sort of KYC procedure. That is necessary for casino operators to be able to comply with the anti money laundering measures which they are expected to undertake. However, it does mean there is a lot of sensitive information which you don't want leaking, or being obtained by hackers. That is something license-issuers have also realized, which is why they make casino operators encrypt this kind of info, using some of the toughest encryption standards available to them.
  • Secondly, you can be certain you are playing fair games with licensed houses. That is because they are required to undergo audits. These are performed by independent professionals, who go over the random number generators used within each game to determine its outcome. The professionals are able to ascertain whether there is any bias in these complex mathematical algorithms towards the house! With regulated casinos, you can be sure you are playing actual games of chance.
  • Thirdly, licensed houses also need to take problem gambling a lot more seriously than their unregulated peers. That is why they need to introduce certain self exclusion measures for players to be able to opt in to! These can be different account limits you can set, like a deposit limit, a time out-warning, or even the ability to close down your account. Additionally, there is always a lot of helpful information on what problem gambling is, what it can manifest itself as and where to seek help, which fosters a safer environment for everyone!

Even though there are more reasons to stick to regulated casinos, we hope that you agree with us on them being better than their unlicensed peers. However, it's time to get back to Lolly Bet – here is the surprisingly long list of languages in which its website can be seen:

Languages: English, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese

And here are the countries from where it does not accept new players, thanks to their gambling regulation:

Restricted countries: American Samoa, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, British

Deposit and Withdrawal

When it comes to cashing in or out, we always rate casinos which allow you to do so with a variety of payment methods higher. That is not the case here, though! There are just two ways of depositing – credit cards and crypto. Usually, we would also expect to see e-wallets, e-vouchers and even localized payment methods like Interac available.

And since some countries, like the UK, ban the use of credit cards for casino deposits, this means that the players residing there will only have one means of deposit. That is not really acceptable. Still, here is what you can expect from the deposit policies of the house:

Deposit methodMinimumMaximumProcessing timeFee
Credit/Debit Card$10$10000InstantFree
Crypto$10$10000InstantFree

Currencies: Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD), British Pound Sterling (GBP), Brazilian Real (BRL), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), Dogecoin (DOGE), Litecoin (LTC)

The minimum and maximum deposit values are quite decent. Minimum deposit are usually between $10 and $20, and the maximum ones are lower than what Lolly Bet offers. So, the house does get our praise for that. Additionally, there are no fees for cashing n, However, if there are some third party charges, by the credit card issuer, or crypto miners, you will be expected to cover them. Such incidental charges are handled exactly like that by the majority of casinos nowadays.

Now, let's take a look at the withdrawal policies:

Withdrawal methodMinimumMaximumProcessing timeFee
Credit/Debit Card$10$10000up to 7 daysFree
Crypto$10$10000up to 7 daysFree

It is unclear whether Lolly Bet expect you to wager your deposited cash a certain amount of times before withdrawing it. If that is the case, we would not be surprised, because such restrictions are commonly used as a part of the AML measures a casino has to undertake. The requirements are usually no higher than 3x your original deposit.

The minimum and maximum withdrawal values are equal to the ones for deposits, which we definitely appreciate. What we don't like is the fact that withdrawals of up to $1000 take up to three days, and ones over that amount require up to seven days to process. Even though the internal withdrawal policies of each casino are different, the vast majority of houses nowadays is able to process them faster, making Lolly Bet incredibly uncompetitive.

There are no withdrawal fees, and we like the fact that the casino stipulates that explicitly in its Terms. However, we should also mention that what we said about third party charges applies here. Still, that is how these charges are generally handled, so there is no concern here.

The only fee that Lolly Bet seems to charge is the following inactivity fee:

We find that to be a fair reason, and a fair amount, to demand your player pay!

Games and Game Suppliers

Probably the biggest issue with the casino is how little Game suppliers it has managed to partner with. Usually, houses are able to secure titles from around 50 Suppliers on their launch. However, that does not seem to be the case here. Instead, Lolly Bet features games from nine suppliers in total. Here is who they are:

Game providers: Evolution, Relax Gaming, Hacksaw, Smartsoft Gaming, Play'n GO, Evoplay, Quickspin, Spribe, Other

The library of games with Lolly Bet numbers around 1000 titles. That is a comparatively low amount, no doubt owed to the lack of suppliers. Still, here is what you can play:

Slots: These games usually make the bulk of a casino's library, with exciting titles like Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold and so on. Here, they are pretty easy to miss, and the games you can play are less familiar – things like Bloodaxe, Rise of Olympus, Book of Power and others are available. There's no way to order them by their mechanics either, which is annoying and inconvenient. Overall, slots lovers will be disappointed by Lolly Bet!

Table Games: There are a couple of sections of the casino's website where you can play Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack, Roulettes and other classics.  Live poker is available too, but that is  the extent of all the Live gaming Lolly Bet offers access to. We did not find any Game Shows to tune in to either!

Crash Games: What the casino offers instead of Game Shows is a surprising variety of these fast-paced games. You can play Plinko, Mines, Aviator and so on, and there seems to be a lot of attention paid to making sure the player can browse them easily, which we can definitely appreciate!

Other Games: There are a lot of miscellaneous games too – Scratches, Keno, and even a couple of Virtual Sports. Virtual Football can be found within the vSports section of the casino. No Virtual Horse or Hound races are available, though, which does feel like a misstep.

Speaking of Sports, the Sportsbook this casino offers is quite decent. There are thousands of events, from major markets like big Football championships, to more niche things to be on, like who will win various Emmy awards, Oscars or even what will be the top song in the UK. You can prematch bet on all of those! Live betting is available for some of the bigger markets, too. Gamers will be happy to learn that a series of esports like LOL, Dota 2 and CS can all be wagered on, and that the casino even accepts live bets on some of them. Overall, there is something for any sports fan to bet on!

Conclusion

All in all, there is not much of a reason to recommend this casino. We found it to be a bit lackluster, from its bonuses, through its deposit methods, to even the design of the website. Said design is pretty bland and lacks any defining feature, which is definitely indicative of the level of service here. But the worst offender has to be the games library – even though it has a lot in terms of what kinds of games you can play, there are not enough games in total. So, we can recommend playing somewhere else instead!
