It will probably come as no surprise that Sport.com is an online sportsbook. Far from only offering Sports betting, though, it is also a casino which offers access to Slots, as well as live games and crash games. However, we ended up very disappointed with what the house actually had in store. That is because all of its games library seems to have been sourced by a single Game Supplier, making it incredibly shallow.
Of course, we did not not really expect anything great from a casino with such a name, as we presumed it would focus strictly on sports betting. But the lack of games to play is far from the most serious issue we noticed. Other problems with the services of the house include the lack of regulation, as well as the lack of information about its deposit policies. There is no way to know anything about the policies around depositing here. At least the withdrawal conditions are readily available, and players can learn about them before cashing in. Even so, said withdrawal conditions are very far from what we'd consider to be competitive.
Overall, it seems like we need to examine the casino in a lot more detail, in order to provide you with everything about it you need to know about it. So, here is our full review of Sport.com:
Bonuses
When it comes to bonuses, we were very disappointed by what the house had to offer. There is a good No Deposit Bonus, but, after that is played though, everything goes downhill. Even though there are two different Welcome promotions, they are both subpar. Additionally, there are not really any reliable Recurring promotions which players can expect to claim. Here is an outline of what the promotions look like:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
No Deposit bonuses | - | 5 BRL | 50x | 400 BRL |
Welcome Freebet | Unspecified | 100% up to 200 BRL | - | Unspecified |
Second Deposit Bonus | Unspecified | 100% up to 200 BRL + 30 spins | - | 765 BRL |
Birthday Bonus | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified |
As you can see from the table, there is not a lot of information on the bonuses, leaving out a lot of important details about the way they work, which we generally expected to be able to see. Nevertheless, let's take a look at what we do know about the promotions:
- The No Deposit Bonus we mentioned is a rather fun promotion, which we really like. It allows newly signed up players to get a 5 BRL freebet voucher. This voucher can be used on the crash game Aviator – a very popular instant game. There are three more vouchers you can get as part of the bonus, for the same game. The promotion even allows you to cash out the winnings from said vouchers, which is not really a given for no deposit bonuses. To do so, however, you need to clear its wagering requirement of 50x. This means playing through the winnings that many times on the Aviator game. Then, you can cash out whatever you win, up to a maximum of 400 BRL.
- After the previous promotion is played through, you can get a couple of Welcome Bonuses. The first of them is the Welcome Freebet, which will give you 100% of the initial deposit you place, up to a maximum of 200 BRL as a Freebet voucher to use in the sportsbook of the casino. These vouchers allow you to wager on an event of your choice, and if that turns out to be a bad bet, the casino will take out the money for it from the voucher instead of your balance. And if you win, you can generally expect the bet to be settled as it normally would. Sport.com's Freebet bonus can be used on exactly two games, with odds of 2.0 or more each. There is no information about it needing to be wagered, or some sort of cash out limit applying to it either, which might mean there are no such restrictions. We would have liked explicit confirmation of that. Additionally, we would have liked to see what the minimum deposit is!
- There is the Second Deposit Bonus, which grants you 100% of whatever you cash in, as bonus funds, up to the same maximum. We are curious whether the bonus money can be used within the Sportsbook, the casino games, or both. There are also 30 Free Spins for the Sugar Bonanza Deluxe game. The issues with this bonus are that the minimum deposit is not mentioned and we have no clue how much you need to cash in to obtain the promotion. What's more, there's a very low cash out limit of 765 BRL, over which the player will not be able to withdraw any of their earnings. The bonus comes with a wagering requirement of 40x, which is fairly decent, as similar promotions tend to have their requirements within the 30x to 40x range in general.
- After you have claimed the two previous promotions, it seems like you will be out of bonuses. The only other one that is mentioned on the Sport.com website is the Birthday Bonus. This promotion is supposedly issued on your special day, and grants you some kind of reward for depositing on it. The reward, or the conditions around cashing it out are not mentioned at all by the house, so your guess as to what they entail is as good as ours.
There are two links to pages dedicated to what seems like two Special Sportsbook features – an Accumulator boost and an Early payout feature. However, said links are broken, and we are not actually sure if the features are available for players.
Overall, we are very disappointed with the lack of any incentive to deposit beyond the first two Welcome bonuses. When there are casinos which can give you more for your money, why stick to this rather lackluster house? Not to mention the questionable regulatory status it has:
License
As you can see, Sport.com has several claims to being a regulated casino:
It claims to be run by a Cyprus-incorporated company, which is then licensed by the Curacao Gaming Commission. Now, Curacao is indeed the most popular regulatory destination for casinos nowadays, but there is no singular Commission there which issues licenses. Instead, that task has been delegated to four bodies, which the government of the tiny country has given the power to oversee its egaming market.
As for the license number you can see in the previous screenshot, it is “365/JAZ”, which is indeed the correct master license of one of these four regulatory bodies, called Gaming Curacao. However, we doubt that Sport.com is actually licensed by it. One of the requirements of Gaming Curacao is for license holders to implement its digital seal on their websites, allowing visitors to quickly be able to find all the necessary information about the regulation of the house. That seal is not present on the website of this casino, which means that we cannot verify that claim.
Finally, there is also a claim that Sport.com is run by some Cornbow Ltd., which is supposedly registered in Belize. Note that the word “registered” simply means “incorporated”, and is not synonymous with “licensed”, or with “regulated”!
Overall, we can conclude that it is far more likely that Sport.com is not licensed than that it is. This means that the protections you could actually expect from a casino based in Curacao, which Sport.com claims to be, will not actually be available to you. Here is what those protections look like:
- First off, how can you be sure that you are playing actual games of chance with your casino of choice? The only way for any house to be able to guarantee that is if it is licensed, and if it has undergone the necessary audits. These audits are performed by independent professionals, who go over the random number generators used within each game. These generators are the complex mathematical algorithms that determine the outcomes of every bet you place. The auditing process is able to guarantee that said outcomes are not biased towards the house, and that the games pay out exactly as much as they are supposed to.
- Secondly, licensed houses need to offer responsible gambling options. These options include certain self-exclusion measures which players can opt in to, if they feel like they are losing control of their spending. For instance, you would be able to set custom deposit limits, reality checks, or even close down your account with the house unilaterally, without needing to provide any justification for that. There are also a lot of other policies which licensed casinos have enacted in order to promote responsible gambling, like, for instance, offering players helpful resources on what gambling addiction looks like and where to seek help. This helps foster a more mature and responsible environment for every player out there!
- Thirdly, there are also policies dedicated to the safety of the data you share with the casino. This data includes sensitive personal information which any house can collect on its players. Even unlicensed ones, like Sport.com for instance, do that. When you are signing up with the casino we are currently reviewing you are asked for a phone number and a Brazilian citizen number. Needless to say, this information could cause a lot of harm if it fell into the wrong hands, which is why licensed houses need to encrypt it with state of the art security protocols, designed to combat just that!
These are just some of the reasons why playing with licensed casinos is generally the right choice over their unregulated peers. And while there is nothing that suggests Sport.com is up to anything shady, we wish the house was upfront about its lack of regulation. Regardless, let's get back to our review of it:
Here is a list of the different languages you can view the website of the house in:
Languages: English, Portuguese
And here are the countries from where players will not be able to sign up, due to their prohibitive regulation on online gambling.
Restricted countries: American Samoa, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, British
Deposit and Withdrawal
There have been many issues with the casino so far, but we consider its payment policies to be among the worst offenders. There are just two means of cashing in – PIX and Interac. This means that only Brazilian and Canadian players will actually be able to top up their accounts, because these payment providers are localized.
In general, houses nowadays strive to offer as many means of deposit as possible, in order to make sure they can meet the needs of their players, and enable them to cash in whatever is most convenient to them. A lack of a versatile range of payment methods means that Sport.com is less competitive than it could be otherwise.
Here are the deposit conditions, and the two currencies you can use:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
PIX | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified |
Interac | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified |
Currencies: Brazilian Real (BRL), Canadian Dollar (CAD)
You will surely notice that the table does not really contain any information. This is because there is no working payments page where we can check to see what cashing in looks like. And while reputable houses tend to provide players with their deposit policies in writing, in their Terms and Conditions, Sport.com has decided against that.
In general, the minimum deposit requirements of casinos can be up to 50 BRL, and we hope this is the case here. There should be no fees for cashing in, but if any third party charges arise, players will be responsible for covering them – just like with the vast majority of casinos nowadays.
Now, let's take a look at the withdrawal policies of the house:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
PIX | 400 BRL | Unspecified | up to 4 days | Free |
Interac | 300 BRL | Unspecified | up to 4 days | Free |
At least Sport.com has decided to share those with its players! The casino allows you to cash out via the same two means of payment as before, but before you can do that, you need to have wagered your deposits at least once. This common AML measure is in place for the majority of casinos nowadays, and it does not raise any concerns in us. What is actually a bit bothersome, though, is how big the minimum withdrawal amount is!
The house expects you to cash out at least 400 BRL via PIX and the CAD equivallent of 300 BRL via Interac – 80 CAD. This is unacceptable, and most houses allow you to withdraw much lower amounts! Their minimum withdrawals are up to 50 BRL at most in general. The maximum withdrawal amount is nowhere to be seen, and we could not speculate on what that would look like. The processing times are said to be of up to four days, which is longer than what houses take on average.
Finally, there are no fees for withdrawing, but if there are third party charges, you will have to pay them – just as with the deposits to the house. There does not seem to be any charge for inactivity, which is good.
Games and Game Suppliers
Game providers: Skywind
Nowadays, new casinos launch with thousands of games in their libraries from at least around 50 Suppliers. The amount of Suppliers is important, because the more there are, the more things there are to play. This is why we consider the fact that the only games that Sport.com features are from one Supplier – Skywind, to be an incredible downside! It practically ensures there will not be enough variety for players. And sure enough, there is barely anything to bet on!
The collection of Slots, for instance, contains none of the games we actually hoped to find, like Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Dead and so on. Instead, titles like the aforementioned Sugar Rush were present, as well as games like Lucky Clovers and Gladiator Reels. The slots are ordered in several sections, and you can play the newest games, hottest and coldest games from the past hour. The latter two sections were empty when we took a look at them – meaning there is probably no-one who has played any of the slots at all, or that the two categories do not work.
Other than that, there are just five Live games in total – two Baccarat games, two Roulettes and something called Joker Wheel. Needless to say this is a very far cry from what we expected to see. Crash games are available too, with the aforementioned Aviator, but they can hardly make up for the lack of other casino games!
The Sportsbook with Sports.com is nothing special either. It is good enough, offering players access to thousands of events from big markets like Football to smaller ones like Waterpolo. Live bets and prematch bets are both accepted, and there are even virtual sports to wager on, as well as eSports. But it does not really have anything to make it stand out, and sports betting here will be less fun because of the lack of bonuses.
Conclusion
All in all, Sport.com turned out to be one of the most disappointing casinos out there. The lack of regulation over it is among the main concerns we have with the house, but it is far from the only one. Instead, there is also the fact that the games library is so small that it is not even worth bringing up in this sentence, and that the bonuses are just awful. The payment methods are very limited, and overall, we just don't see why anyone would play here when there are tons of better options available!
