Wannas Casino Review: Scam or Safe?

Wannas Casino Review: Scam or Safe?

Wannas is a very new casino licensed in Curacao that mostly seems to target players from Asia and Latin America. When we learned that the casino offers games it has developed itself, we had high hopes. The truth turned out to be quite disappointing, however – this enterprise only offered around 20 games which is quite laughable considering the huge game libraries of 2000-3000 games most casinos can offer. What is more, Wannas does not offer any bonuses which makes its offer even less attractive.

Wannas Bonuses

One of the weird things about Wannas is that this casino does not offer any bonuses. When we checked out their Terms and Conditions, we did find some bonus-related terms but that was all. There was no separate page devoted to promotions or any additional information anywhere else on the website.

This is highly unusual – most casinos usually offer a plethora of promotional offers meant to attract more customers. You can expect varied Welcome Packages that give you the chance to activate a bonus on your first few deposits with a particular casino, No Deposit Bonuses that do not even require you to transfer money, various Reload Bonuses, and Free Spin Promotions available for clients that have been with a certain casino for a longer period of time, Cashback and Rakeback programs, etc. We would not settle for a casino that offers no promotions if we were you – this would rob you of many opportunities for extra winnings.

Wannas License

Wannas is owned by Tykin Star N.V. – a company regulated in Curacao by one of the four master license operators in the country, Gaming Curacao.

We would like to take a moment to explain the regulatory system in Curacao since it is not necessarily a straightforward one. The local government does not regulate casinos directly – instead, it has given that authority to four independent companies called master license operators. These companies are then responsible for licensing Curacao casinos, making sure that all laws and policies are being followed, and handling client complaints should such arise.

Even though Curacao is an offshore jurisdiction, there are many reliable online gambling enterprises that are regulated there. Keep in mind, however, that such casinos do not provide the same level of security and safety as those regulated in Malta (by the Malta Gaming Authority) or the UK (by the UK Gambling Commission), for instance. There are fewer regulations in Curacao and the licensing process is much faster and more hassle-free.  That is why so many casinos that still want to present their clients with some sort of license choose to become regulated in this particular country. This also means that players themselves will be subject to fewer restrictions and get more attractive conditions in some cases – that is usually the appeal of offshore casinos.

Curacao-licensed casinos are still required to implement certain privacy protection, and anti-fraud measures to make sure everything is legal and that client data would not fall into the hands of malicious third parties. They are also obligated to offer responsible gambling tools and resources such as time-out warnings, personalized deposit limits, and other self-exclusion options. Games should pass third-party audits – this ensures they are fair and random.

If you are planning on working with an offshore casino, make sure to pick one that has a good reputation among other players and online reviewers. Do some research beforehand, and preferably only work with casinos owned by reputable companies with other successful projects. Check associated casinos for bad reviews. These are all measures that might see a bit excessive at first but ensure a safe and enjoyable playing experience later on.

Wannas Deposit and withdrawal

Currencies: US Dollar (USD), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC)

Wannas accepts a decent variety of convenient payment methods – crypto (Ethereum, Tether, USD Coin), credit/debit card, bank transfer, and electronic payment solutions like Neteller Skrill, Sofort, Stickpay, and MiFinity.

The minimum and maximum deposit amounts depend on the payment solution you choose to use. For some payment methods, the minimum is as little as $1 which makes Wannas a very affordable casino. What we did not like, however, were the enormous deposit fees – 3.9% + 0.29 EUR for Skrill and Neteller, and a whopping 7.5% for credit/debit card.

For all payment methods, the minimum withdrawal amount is $20 – which, once again, is more than okay. What is not okay, however, is the fairly big withdrawal fees – again, 7.5% for credit/debit card, and 1% for Neteller and Skrill.

The casino did not mention any specific withdrawal limits but keep in mind that such might exist. Before placing a withdrawal request, you have to turn over your deposits 1 time. Many casinos have such standard requirements that are meant to prevent money laundering.

Wannas Games and game suppliers

Wannas only works with two game providers – Ethereal Studio and TaiShan. If you have not heard of these suppliers, you are not alone since they are not exactly well-known. In fact, this casino only offers games it has developed itself through its partners which is an interesting approach. Not many casinos offer their own games – that is always impressive since it shows initiative. However, we were not exactly happy to find out that we would not get access to any other games.

Big established casinos work with a wide range of game providers – anywhere between 70-80, and more than a hundred. This means they are generally able to offer a far wider selection of games than what Wannas presented us with. In fact, this casino offers a very poor selection of games – and some of the ones it did offer were currently under maintenance and could not be accessed or played. The game library Wannas gave us the chance to access was nothing more than a huge disappointment.

Game providers: Other

This casino offers an extremely limited selection of slots – just 8 compared to the 2000-3000 you can easily get with most more reputable casinos. At least the games looked well-designed – the problem was that we were unable to access any of them at the current moment since they were all under maintenance. The themes seemed mostly Mythology and Adventure-related. Here are the titles of the slots in case you are interested in looking into them – Zeus Mega Link, Gold Fortune, Pirate Treasure, Genie Wild, Wheel of the Sun, Money Fantasy, Dragon Bingo, and Gold Mine Dual.

There were no online table games or more casual games available. However, the casino did at least offer some Live Dealer games of decent quality. Once again, a big part of them were under maintenance but some were available. There were a few sections – Baccarat/Dragon Tiger, Blackjack/Casino Hold ‘Em, and Roulette/Sic Bo. The number of games was not impressive – just over 20 but at this point, we did not expect much from this casino anyway. There was an Ethereal Live Show section that was supposed to offer more variety but that was not active currently.

As a whole, Wannas game library was a disappointment – you will barely be able to play with this casino.

Conclusion

Wannas is hardly a good casino to play at. In fact, they proved to be one of the biggest disappointments we have recently encountered. This casino might be licensed and it might offer a few convenient payment methods – but that was all they had going on. Wannas offers no bonuses which is quite unheard of in this industry. Moreover, their game library was extremely disappointing and only offered 20 or so games – be it games developed by the casino itself.

As a whole, we cannot recommend Wannas – this enterprise has too few things to offer to actually create an entertaining, engaging playing environment.
