Westpoint Casino Review: Scam or Safe?

Westpoint is a new casino with a pretty design and overall good vibe – it's a pleasure to visit their website. The house is licensed, and that comes as a reassurance that it's a safe place, but just like any other casino, Westpoint has its positive and negative sides.

In short, the positive features of Westpoint include the license, the bonuses (which are not the most attractive, we shall admit), the low deposit/withdrawal requirements and the games from some leading providers.

The negatives features, on the other hand, are not so few, since we detected some irritating drawbacks that may negatively affect your gaming experience. One such is the very high rollover requirement before withdrawals. As an AML measure, casinos require that players should wager their deposits a certain number of times before a withdrawal – up to 3 times is the standard. Westpoint has raised this condition to six times, which is too much! While trying to meet the rate, they may lose quite a lot of money, and that's bad.

Another not so positive aspect is the lack of certain TCs, such as the comprehensive deposit requirements. The minimum deposit should be €20 in general, but Westpoint never really appointed any such conditions. The maximum is also unknown, and on top of that, the Cashier didn't reveal any details while we were playing with it. The only thing we can tell you is that MiFinity deposits should not exceed €2000, as you will get an error. We also got an error while trying to unlock crypto deposits, and that's not good. It's never a good sign if the casino's Cashier is malfunctioning.

There are other positive and negative aspects, as well, and we will discuss everything you need to know about Westpoint in the following review. The first thing is the bonus policy.

Bonuses

Frankly speaking, we aren't really impressed with the bonuses in Westpoint. They have 4 promotions in total, and there are little details specified about them. For example, no wagering requirement is attached to any bonus, but general TCs reveal that bonus should be wagered at least 20 times (bonus+deposit). Now, what does “at least” mean? What if the requirement suddenly gets to become 30 times once you have claimed the prize. We don't say it will, but it can! Westpoint demonstrates a lack of transparency at times, so keep this in mind. It lowers the ranking!

Another thing we didn't really like about the bonuses is the prizes – €400 is the highest from all the promotions. Not bad, but other casinos may come up with much higher max prizes and percentages, so Westpoint's promos aren't the best out there.

Cash-out limits are also not specified for most promos, and that's yet another missing condition. Too many, but anyways, let's see some more details.

• 1st Deposit Bonus – the welcome package of the casino is spread over the first two deposits. In this part, a prize of 100% up to €300 is unlocked with a deposit of €20 or more. The wagering requirement is 20 times the bonus plus the deposit, while the cash-out limit is not specified.
• 2nd Deposit Bonus – the second part is also unlocked with €20, while the prize has been reduced to 50% up to €200. The wagering is kept at 20 times bonus plus deposit, while the cash-out limit is still not specified. So, the welcome package in two deposits can bring up to €500 in total, which is a nice offer, but it's nowhere near the packages of other casinos – some can deliver €5000 or more, plus free spins included. Westpoint offers no free spins, and that's a minor downside to note. The FS given away aren't usually something extraordinary as players can get 100 on average each one being valued at €0.1 or €0.2 in most cases. That would be €10 or €20 on top of the cash bonus, which is not so much, but players love free spins. The FS added show that the casino cares about players' gaming experience, and that's the most important aspect. Westpoint doesn't seem to bother about it, though!
• Sunday High Roller – high rollers are usually bonuses with exceptional prizes, reduced wagering requirements, and high minimum deposits. Westpoint's high roller, however, isn't anything from the above-mentioned. The minimum deposit is just €20, while the prize is 40% up to €500. The wagering is 20 times, which is the standard rate for Westpoint's bonuses, while the cash-out limit is unspecified. From that perspective, we don't know why this promo is called High Roller, as the only thing higher is the slightly increased max price. Anyways, it's a good reload available in Sundays.
• Cashback – players can get 10% up to €300 from their losses during the previous week. The cashback is claimed every Wednesday as the minimum amount credited is €5. Wagering requirements are not specified, so probably 20 times will apply, but we cannot be sure about that. The cash-out limit on the other hand is properly designated – 10 times the cashback amount, meaning that players will be allowed to withdraw no more than €3000 from this promo.

License

The good news is that Westpoint is a licensed casino authorised by Antillephone in Curacao. The house is owned by Dialinvest International N.V. – a company known to operate a few other casinos. Under Antillephone authorisation, the company and Westpoint are free to offer casino and sports betting to players around the world, with some countries being restricted. You can see the list below, but that brings us to another miss in the TCs. Westpoint never mentioned anything about excluded countries, and the list you can see shows the places not covered by Antillephone's license. Usually casinos explicitly name all the countries that are closed for registration, but Westpoint doesn't. Not a significant problem, but that shows a lack of professional touch, and that's irritating.

Now, let us share a few words about Curacao and tell you why it's a hot destination for casino registrations and licensing. Online casinos and bookmakers in Curacao are not licensed and regulated by the local gaming authorities directly, but four independent companies do so on behalf of the government – Antillephone, E-Gaming, CIL and Gaming Curacao. The deposit policy of Westpoint is generally good. They accept plenty of funding methods, including fiat, crypto, e-wallets, prepaid cards, and where possible, mobile payment solutions. The Cashier we came across, however, wasn't the best piece of work we've ever seen. As mentioned before, it doesn't show the minimum and maximum transactions, and on top of that, the crypto methods were experiencing some issues. We don't know what's the problem, but Westpoint should fix that and quickly.

The minimum deposit should be €20, but as already mentioned, it's not really specified what's the exact condition. The maximum is also unknown. Each deposit is free and instant.

The withdrawal methods are expectedly fewer, since some methods like CashToCode, NeoSurf and FlexePin, to name but a few, do not support withdrawals. You shouldn't expect that the casino will send you some voucher, so keep this in mind before depositing.

The minimum withdrawal is €20 in general, but there are some strings attached. If you are outside EU,  the minimum will be €50. The maximum withdrawal per transaction is not specified, but players won't be allowed to cash-out more than €5000 for a 24-hour period – that's the daily withdrawal limit. The monthly limit is €25 000, which is a sound condition, given that the caps are smaller in some casinos.

The processing time is allegedly very good – according to FAQ, e-wallet withdrawal requests will be dealt with for up to 12 hours. Bank transfers, on the other hand, will require up to 72 hours, and if you are living outside EU, the processing time may be increased further – up to 5 days.

Withdrawals are free, but only if players have met the rollover requirement. We already talked about that, but we shall repeat it. The rollover is the number of times the deposits of players should be wagered before withdrawal. It's a gaming and AML measure as the standard is from 1 to 3 on average. Westpoint's requirement, however, is extremely high – 6 times, which is 2 to 6 times more than usual. And that does not favour players! The smaller the rollover the better for clients. Westpoint disappoints, and here comes yet another missing condition. Namely, there will be a fee if the rollover is not met, but Westpoint specifies absolutely nothing about that!

Missing conditions in regards to the inactivity policy as well. According to general TCs, an account becomes inactive after 12 months, and if not accessed for 30 months, it will be considered Dormant. The problem here is that no fee is specified, and it's not even said whether a fee will apply or not. Usually, casinos take €5 to €10 per month, but Westpoint yet again manages to disappoint and irritate us with another piece of legal information missing. This casino definitely needs to improve!

And we finally came to the gaming library, which is nothing special at all. Westpoint blows its own trumpet bragging about how it can offer more than 1000 games. Well, good job, but we can tell our readers that the majority of good casinos do not offer less than 5000 games. Some go to 10 000, while others offer 1000 games only in their Live Casino sections. And the gaming providers in Westpoint aren't so many, so overall, the casino is lagging compared to other houses.

Conclusion

Westpoint is a casino with a nice design, a legit license, and a few bonuses. The house has low deposit/withdrawal requirements and accepts plenty of methods, which is good. What is not good is that the bonuses aren't really attractive, many terms and conditions are missing, and the rollover requirement is a whopping 6 times. The gaming library also failed to impress. So, considering those things, we can only say that the casino has future since it's licensed, but improvements are needed. More bonuses, more games and all TCs revealed will make Westpoint a good casino. For now, it remains a casino with potential.
