Alcazar Casino Review: Scam or Safe?

Alcazar is a Costa Rica-based casino that started operating very recently – and you can definitely tell. The casino had very few games to offer – other than a very rich collection of slots. Their promotional offers were all but clear – and they were very few. The information we got on the subject of payments was also very vague.

The casino was decent enough to catch our interest and we expect some improvements in the future. Right now, however, we cannot wholeheartedly recommend Alcazar since they have quite a long way to go. Once they obtain some sort of license, and start offering more bonuses and a larger variety of games, they might become an establishment worth your time.

Bonuses

Alcazar offers a very limited selection of bonuses and did not really provide comprehensive information about the conditions surrounding them. This is forgivable considering that this is a very new casino but we expect it to change in the future. We like it when our bonuses come with clear conditions and this was not the case here. Nothing was mentioned about vital things such as wagering requirements and cash-out limits, or even about maximum bet size while there is a bonus active.

The casino offers a No Deposit Bonus you can receive just by signing up and verifying your e-mail. The size of that bonus was $10 – but no additional information was provided.

Additionally, the casino allows clients depositing for the first time to activate a Deposit Match Bonus of up to $777. All you have to do is deposit $10 or more. However, it was not mentioned what the bonus percentage we can expect to get is – just the maximum size of the bonus.

Most established casinos can offer dozens of attractive promotions that come with much clearer conditions – so maybe check out some such establishments before settling for this one.

Alcazar is a new casino that is operated by Alcazar World LTD and based in Costa Rica. This country is a fairly popular destination for online gambling websites that are still testing the waters and want to operate in a country that is politically and economically stable. The local government's attitude towards online gambling is quite relaxed and friendly, and crypto transactions are encouraged. For these reasons, plenty of establishments decide to test out their platforms in this climate. However, Costa Rica does not really regulate online casinos – there is no local authority that deals with online gambling specifically. The country has not developed any related legislation or regulations which is less than ideal because it means that local casinos are not really under supervision.

Clients that prefer to work with casinos that are fully reliable should consider choosing establishments regulated in either Malta or the UK. These are the two top jurisdictions when it comes to online gambling establishments. Local casinos have to meet a large number of requirements related to client privacy protection, and fraud prevention, and ensure the application of certain responsible gambling practices. Alcazar is a crypto casino and it is not surprising that they only accept deposits in crypto. What we found fairly disappointing, however, was the fact that we were only given the chance to deposit in two cryptocurrencies – Tether and Binance Coin. There are plenty of crypto casinos that would allow you to deposit in a wide number of cryptos. Alcazar did not mention what the minimum and maximum deposit and withdrawal amounts are either but at least we were informed that payments are processed instantly or almost instantly.

One thing we would like to point out as an asset is the fact that this casino does not have any specific withdrawal limits and restrictions.

Games and game suppliers

Alcazar only works with certified, established game providers – however, they currently only collaborate with four suppliers. This is quite disappointing considering the fact that many big casinos work with as many as 100 or more game providers. As a result, Alcazar did not really manage to provide access to an impressive game library.

The casino still does not offer any online casino games. The number of live events we got to play was also very limited – we only got access to 8 events (Blackjack Lobby, Roulette Lobby, Sweet Bonanza Candyland, Baccarat Lobby, Dragon Tiger, Andar Bahar, Mega Wheel, and Mega Sic Bo). This selection is very limited – plenty of casinos offer hundreds of table games and live events.

Alcazar also has a Mini Game section that contained a total of 4 games – Gold Rush, Plinko, Mini Roulette, and Aviator.

Even though the slot collection we got access to was more than decent, we did not get to play much else. The casino promises that it will soon offer separate Poker and Sports Betting sections but at the current moment, we doubt that a lot of players will be satisfied with the casino's total selection of games.

Conclusion

Alcazar is such a new casino that they have not had the chance to prove their reliability yet. Moreover, they have not obtained a valid license. As a result, we had some huge biases towards the casino since we can never fully recommend an unregulated casino. Moreover, we were not fully satisfied with the conditions we were offered – bonuses were few and came with unclear conditions, and the game library will be a disappointment to anyone other than slot fans.

This is a casino worth keeping an eye on – but at the current moment, they failed to impress us.
