Del Oro Casino Review: Scam or Safe?

Del Oro Casino Review: Scam or Safe?

On a first basis overview it looks like Del Oro Casino is a decent enough casino probably worth an account and a small investment for starters. But we at ScamOSafe like to avoid first impressions and make decisions and recommendations based on fact alone. And as it turned out what the casino presented at first is not what the casino has in store. Read the review to find out more.

Unfortunately there was no way to access the bonuses section of the casino. As you can see from the snip below there was a certain error that prevented us from doing so. The same message appeared on the sport bonuses section. The message stating that we don't have any active bonuses suggests that only active users, or registered ones, have access to the bonuses. If this is the case then Del Oro Casino has made a very dubious choice.

Consider a new player who scouts for online casino, who has a proclivity for deposit bonuses and is looking out for the best ones out there. He stumbles on Del Oro Casino, likes what he sees in terms of website and games, but cannot access the bonuses information. And thus he leaves, disappointed, leaving the casino with one potential customer less. In so blatantly prohibiting access to its bonuses Del Oro Casino is hurting itself more than any other party.

The home page of the casino hints at two bonus types, very classic, a Match Bonus of 100% up to $500, and a 5% Cashback Bonus. But without any details whatsoever, we don't know what the minimum deposit requirement is, what the wagering prerequisites are, what the maximum cash-out amounts are (if any), what restrictions there are, etc.

Other than that, there is a VIP/Coins hybrid system that awards users with exchangeable points. There are a total of 10 VIP steps, and the client can earn points by betting and deposits. Each $10 spent in the sportsbook betting platform at odds no lower than 1.8 results in 1 point or coin for the user. Every $50 spent in playing on the casino floor results in 1 point. Each new level of the VIP ladder grants the client better cashback percentages with seemingly no other benefits.
As for the shop, there the user can redeem these points into coins, and then exchange said coins to betting chips and free spins.

LICENSE

Del Oro Casino claims to be operated by JNAGCur B.V. a company that is regulated and registered in Curacao. The latter is true, but the former may be debatable. We are skeptical from the moment we checked the licensing seal on the footer which revealed the following:

It clearly states that the Del Oro Casino URL is not verified, so where does that leave us and the player? Well the way we see it there are three possible explanations.

The first is that there is some unsolved internal issue that lead to the revocation of a license, or at least of its licensing status. And until the casino fixes said problem the regulator won't budge. For the client this would mean a level of unpredictable risk that may be embodied in issues with payments such as delays, problems with registration, issue with the bonuses, and more. As for the cause of this your guess is as good as ours.

The other possibility may be a pending license, but this seems unlikely since the casino and the regulator would have included some sort of message saying so. And even so, a pending license would not have been indicated by a seal.

Third, the casino has not adhered to regulatory requirements, which is the one we are most fearful of because it would indicate risky behavior, which could expand to a disregard for players' rights.

At this time we can only speculate. The unverified URL issue is unfortunately a problem for the casino and its players. It signals that the casino has done something to anger the regulator which in our book spells trouble for the players.

It's unfortunate because a Curacao license is one of the best regulations a casino can hope for, despite the remaining stigma, granting casinos from all around an unprecedented degree of freedom without having to sacrifice security or fairness measures. Moreover, these casinos take care of sensitive users and make sure that gambling addiction symptom and behaviors are treated as soon as possible.

We would like to note that there is no separate payment page which would have been very helpful to us and users. Instead, Del Oro Casino has cryptically hidden away the deposit and withdrawal details in the legal documents, and it was up to us to find it.

There is no indication of a minimum deposit which we find to be a problem because many users will want to know this detail above many others.

We learned that the payment methods were credit cards, debit cards, wire transfer, and e-wallets, but what these specific wallets are we do not know. So here's another fun mystery for the user to guess at. The casino also sates that certain methods may not be available to all users as they depend on the client's current country of residency.

There are no mention of specific withdrawal fees, but we assume that there must be some sort of payment system fees, as these are pretty much everywhere, unless the casino pays them for you; a rare case indeed, and not a policy of Del Oro Casino. Also there can be currency conversion fees that apply when you deposit though a currency that the casino does not support. So be aware of these.

Lastly, we have to mention the deposit rollover requirement. Each deposit made by the user has to be played through at least once in order to become available for withdrawal. The casino may not allow you to take out money otherwise.

GAMES AND GAME SUPPLIERS

Game providers: Evolution, PragmaticPlay, Evoplay, OneTouch

There is variety here at the price of quantity, but one issue we found early on was the way it was all structured. Especially the odd categorization of the games; there was no way to see all the slot games, as clients have to go into gaming separate categories like 3+ reels,  5 reel, 6 reel, classic slots, cluster slots, fruit slots, Megaways, real slots, just slots, and “other” as in a category. This problem is only present with the slot section, because there is no way to actually browser only the video slot titles. It's a mix of all games into one.

Nevertheless, Del Oro Casino offers big names like Gate of Olympus, Wolf Gold, Big Bass, Starlight Princess, Sweet Bonanza, Black Bull, Super Joker, and more popular titles next to less popular ones. But we soon realized that the slot games were only 600 to 700 in total, which is below average in the industry, but might be considered an advantage since it may be easier for clients to chose a game to stick to. When there are 3000+ slot games players might find it difficult to land on a game that they stick to, soa  lower selection of games helps in this situation. But in reality most players will want diversity.

The casino offers a limited pool of alternative titles including crash games, plinko, and mine sweeper, and some variations of these. These games are a breath of fresh air for clients wanting a breaking from table and slot games.

On the live games front Del Oro Casino presents a large selection of games including Blackjack, Roulette, Crazy Time, Live Monopoly, Sweet Bonanza CnadayLand, Poker, Dragon Tiger, Megawheel, Baccarat, Sic Bo, Coin Flip, Deal or No Deal, Craps Dream Catcher, and others, mostly versions of main category types. There are over 300 games here which is a step up from other casinos, and this section is definitely the high point of Del Oro Casino. If a reason exists to play here it would be the live gaming section.

In total we found that there are some 1130 games, and these are all the games the casino offers, including slots, live games, and table games, as well as plinko and the rest of the alternative titles. It's definitely not enough in terms of what is expected from a contemporary casino and might be a letdown to most users looking for variety.

But what about the sportsbook, the perennial cherry on top of any casino? The truth is that Del Oro Casino's sportbook section is not as good as other casinos', due to a limited number of sports and a lackluster structure. The simple and plain platform lacks that “big” feeling of that other casino sportbooks have. And with only 11 sporting events plus e-sports certain users won't find a competitive edge here. The sports are Soccer, Basketball, Handball, Snooker, Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Table Tennis, AFL, and Cricket. At this time the sports betting platform is not enough to redeem the casino. But we still give it props for including one.

CONCLUSION

With what looks like a revoked license Del Oro Casino cannot be recommended at its current state. It has potential expressed in certain sides of its games, but it lacks depth to be a ranking member in the competition. It would be irresponsible for us to recommend the casino at its current standing. Wait until it gets its affairs in order, or move on to a different gambling platform.
