Moon Roll Review: Scam or safe

Moon Roll is a brand new crypto-based casino. It has a strong focus on the digital assets, and even has its own token. However, besides that, this is actually a rather run of the mill online gambling house which failed to impress us. You see, it is not the only place for cryptocurrency enthusiasts to bet nowadays! In fact, there are tons of similar places, and we don't quite believe that Moon Roll can stand apart from them with anything positive.

There is a lot of issues with the casino, on the other hand! For instance, it has an unclear regulatory status. And while that could be due to its recent launch, there is really no excuse for it not having provided the player with a comprehensive list of how long it takes to withdraw with its payment methods. Speaking of which, there is definitely not enough payment methods it takes. But what's worst of all is the incredibly shallow library of games.

However, all we just said is us scratching the surface. There is a lot more to cover about this casino, as we go over these and the rest of its cons, as well as the things it does right. Join us in the following full review as we go over everything you need to know about the house:

Bonuses

As you can see, there is a decent amount of bonuses overall, but we are just not impressed with the lack of information of some of their conditions. The promotions we were able to learn about, though were quite decent. Let's go over them now:

The Welcome Package with Moon Roll is quite generous, and consists of four distinct bonuses. Before we go over each of them, they have certain aspects in common we'd like to mention. Firstly, to get each of the bonuses, you need to deposit at least $20 or more. This is how much casinos nowadays generally require, and raises no concerns in us. Secondly, there is a wagering requirement of 40x for all four of the bonuses. This means the funds that the bonuses consist of can only be withdrawn once you've wagered the money 40 times or more. This is a fairly common rule, and you'll find it for most casinos' deposit incentives as well. Usually, they require you achieve a turnover of the funds between 30x and 40x, so Moon Roll is within what we consider reasonable, if only barely. With that in mind, here are the four bonuses:

• The First deposit bonus awards players with up to $2000 and 180 Spins. It is calculated as 100% of the funds you've cashed in, which is great. The Spins are a fairly large amount as well, but won't get all of them at once. Instead, the casino will be handing them out in bundles of 20 per day.
• After the previous promotion is played through, you will be able to claim a Second Deposit Bonus, which will then add another 50% of said deposits, up to the same maximum, to your account.
• The Third Deposit Bonus has the same conditions as the previous promotion, with twice the maximum bonus, and you can claim a boost in your funds of up to $4000.
• Last but not least, there is a Fourth Deposit Bonus, which rounds out the package. It grants you 100% of the money you cash in, up to $2000. This is less than the previous promotion, and yet, the multiplier of the bonus is more beneficial to the player.

After you have managed to play through the initial four bonuses, you can claim a couple of Recurring promotions as well. Note that the conditions of none of these are explained all that well! Still, let's go over what we know about them:

• The Deposit Rampage Bonus will grant you a 30% multiplier for your funds. The maximum you can get from it is $200. What makes this bonus stand out is the low minimum deposit requirement of $10. To cash out the funds, you need to clear a wagering requirement of 40x.
• Next, the Free Spin Olympus Bonus requires $25 or more to be cashed in to get. On the other hand, it adds up to 200 Free Spins to your account, which is a pretty sizeable amount! The wagering requirement is the same for this bonus.
• This casino offers a Rakeback – a special promotion which adds a certain percentage of your wagers to your account. However, we don't know what the percentage is, how much you can get from the bonus and so on. And yet, it claims that every Thursday you can get an additional 10% on top of whatever this bonus offers you.
• Next, there is an interesting bonus called Free Spin Bonanza. It allows you to deposit $25 or more in order to get Spins. The higher the sum of money you cash in, the more Spins you can claim. The bonus starts off giving you 20, but you can get up to 200 with a $150 deposit. The wagering requirement is still 40x for the winnings from these Free Spins.
• There is a Lottery which Moon Roll operates. This lottery is tied to the BTC blockchain – every time 100 blocks are minted, a winner is drawn. However, the casino does not mention the total pool of the lottery. The Lottery Boost Bonus supposedly improves the winnings you can realize from it, doubling them on a certain day of the week. Trouble is, Moon Roll does not specify which day that is!
• Finally, the casino has a bonus called Wager race boost. Now, in order to explain what it does, we need to cover the Wager race. Players with the casino are ranked based on how much money they wager in the native token of the house. The more they wager, the higher they are placed in the ranking. The prize pool of the wager race is then distributed among the three highest scoring accounts. This is a fairly standard Tournament, and during the weekend, the casino doubles the pool that you can win from!

License

Here is what Moon Roll has to say about its regulation:

It claims to be licensed by eGaming Curacao. Normally, this regulatory body requires casinos to implement a digital seal on their websites, which can be used in order to verify such claims. This was not the case with the site that Moon Roll runs from. Additionally, the register of eGaming returned no results when we looked up the house there.

That does not mean that it is up to no good, though – it could be that the house has a license, but its seal is yet to be implemented, because it is so new. However, at the time of writing, it is impossible to prove that Moon Roll is a regulated casino. That means it might not be able to provide you with the protections you could normally expect from houses which are. Here is what some of them entail:

• There is a special way for players at eGaming Curacao-licensed houses to file complaints against casino operators. These can be sought if the house is in breach of its license, through the website of the regulator, making for a fast and reliable dispute resolution process.
• Secondly, the data you share with licensed houses is secured by the strict encryption protocols. Since you share a lot of persona information with houses, in compliance with their KYC policies, this is a crucial aspect of regulation.
• There is also a lot of focus on measures, dedicated to combatting problem gambling. Casinos which are licensed in Curacao have to provide players with a lot of information on what such problematic tendencies might look like and how to seek help. They also need to implement a wide range of policies, dedicated to allowing players to exclude themselves if they need to. These can be different timeout warnings you can enable, deposit limits to set, and even the ability to close your own account down.

Deposit and Withdrawal

The means of payment with this casino are incredibly restrictive. In fact, here is what it has to offer in terms of deposit methods and accepted currencies:

We should note that if you wish to deposit with a credit card, that has to be done through a cryptocurrency exchange. This means that you will have to pay conversion fees between your FIAT currencies and whatever crypto token you wish to deposit in. We are not impressed with the house practically only taking crypto. Even casinos which are dedicated to digital tokens tend to offer a more conventional set of means of depositing. Crypto assets are complex and can be difficult to deal with for some. Others might not wish to, or find different methods of payment more convenient. Regardless, casinos are only improved with the introduction of more means of deposit!

Other than that, the minimum deposit seems to be $5. This is fairly low, as most casinos need between $10 and $20 to be cashed in by the player. There are no fees by Moon Roll, but third party charges, like the ones we just mentioned, will have to be covered by you. That is how these kinds of fees are usually handled, and we are not concerned by this policy.

Let's take a look at withdrawals as well:

Note that before you cash out, you will be required to turn over your deposited funds at least once. That is actually a fairly common AML policy, and most other houses we cover have some form of it implemented in their withdrawal policies.

The minimum withdrawal is fairly low, sitting at $10. That makes for a fairly competitive amount, and the maximum is $10 000 every seven days. Do note that if the ratio of your winnings to your deposits is higher than 10 to 1, you will be able to cash out $5 000 per week at most. Both of these are reasonable maximums.

What we find to be less so is the fact that Moon Roll has failed to mention how long it takes to process withdrawals. We just hope that amount of time is less than 72 hours, which seems to be the baseline these days.

Slots: There are some big name slots like Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold, Gates of Olympus and others, but we cannot say we are impressed with the amount of games.

Table Games: There are a couple of live and virtual dealer versions of Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack and Roulettes. The casino also has its own crypto Roulette which you can play with its in-house tokens.

Game Shows: This house has several Shows to offer, like Boom City and Sweet Bonanza Candyland.

Crash Games: There is only one crash game, and that is some kind of in-house version of Mines. Still, one is better than zero, but we cannot say the hastily made and simplistic game is all that great!

Conclusion

Moon Roll is a fairly disappointing online casino. The lack of license and deposit methods accepted by it make it somewhat off-putting. These issues can always be fixed, and we hope they are, but even so, a lot more games need to be added to the roster of the house. Otherwise, there is not much it can offer its players.
